IFL Finals – Beertown Beers and Robot for the win!!!
The Improv Fantasy League finals were last night- a night for the ages. The IFL is the most ultimate competitive improv face off Austin has to offer. There were betrayals, back stabs, in-fighting, elbowing, special guest wrestler, homeless man, and ROBOT, plus much much more.
Over the weeks, the teams had steadily dwindled down leaving three titans to square off for the ultimate glory. All fought bravely and earned their honor, but to quote the great man, Connor Macleod, there can be only one [winner]. So at the end of the night, the supreme champions were none other than the “Beertown Beers”. The Beertown Beers kept a high energy, made for some wacky and blue comedy, and nailed a fine performance with a quality crowd.
But perhaps their finest act over the evening was drafting “Mystery Guest #3″, a highly sophisticated machine called the Improvotron 5000, a robot with a comprehensive knowledge of all recorded improv and comedy training.
Is it fair that the Beertown Beers had the finest comedic instrument known to man (aka the Improvotron 5000), to help them achieve such an interstellar victory? I say no.
But I sense you asking yourselves, why is Kyle of KyleIsFunny.com so partial to the Beertown Beers or more over some magical improvising robot? Because dear reader, the robot…..
was me.
The Night Show, Tonight!!!
